| For the first time, my dad used Facebook chat to talk to me. Seeing that I'm one of the few friends he has added, it was not difficult for him to find me. He informed me that my new driver's license came in! Yay! Just in time before my 25th birthday :P
Then he criticized/questioned my curry cooking since I used Japanese brand curry and used beef as my choice of meat. My food came out great and I made enough to feed 6 people. Michael had about 3 full servings of curry to himself and finished Daniel's plate >.>
My dad knows me so well that he continued to mention that China is building a WoW theme park. How crazy is that lol? Well, it's a Blizzard amusement park that is World of Warcraft and Starcraft themed. Hilarity ensures.

| Can't remember when was the last time I blogged...Since school started? Since Starcraft II came out? It must have been one of those times.
School was hard this semester, I should be finished with school a long time ago, but I keep letting things distract me, such as the Internet.
Christmas was wonderful! I got to spend some time with my family, though I was mostly at Mazzy's place during Christmas weekend. I can't believe we played three card games in one sitting: Uno, Munchkin, and Sorry (the board game that has cards). We didn't go to bed until 3 that morning lol. I got a lot of cool and awesome gifts from the family and from Mazzy :)
I really just wanted to write about today. I knew it was gonna rain tomorrow, but I decided to wash my car anyway since it hasn't been washed since like September. I did a pretty half-ass job at it in my opinion, but others consider it clean so I guess I'm okay with that :/
My neighbor was using a gas powered leaf blower about two houses to the right of me (facing my house from outside). My other neighbor next door on my left was getting ready to go out somewhere. Their son who looked to be six years old or so asked his mom, "What's that smell?" (Refer to the gas powered leaf blowing guy). The mom didn't say anything as she was tucking him in the car and buckling him. One second later he said, "It smells like the Philippines." The mom replies, "It does, doesn't it?!" I thought that was hilarious and will take his word for it.
My dad's been watching the SyFy channel (Science Fiction, get it?) lately, I think it's become one of his topped view channels/programs besides the local Fox News, Judge Judy, football and WWE/WWF/wrestling whatever it's called nowadays. Last Thursday, he was watching Alice, the series, and was telling me about how cool and weird the show is, which means he likes it? Seems like a cool show, I just didn't think my dad was interested in it. This evening, I had just returned home from shopping for him and he fell asleep watching the SyFy channel but this time, Street Fighter Alpha (the 1999 movie) was on. I didn't know the Syfy channel featured anime, but apparently they do.
| Can't wait until financial aid disbursement! Free money for old people! And by old people, I mean super seniors like me.
I'm finally declared a Computer Science major! Took my department long enough...I submitted "Change of Major Request" forms 3 times! (Once during last Fall semester, and twice last Spring semester). Today was gonna be the 4th time submitting it, but the lady informed me and showed me proof that my major had been changed successfully. I was declared Civil Engineering ever since I first got into UC Davis (which was back in Fall 2004) and was trying to change it since I attended Sac State (Fall 2008).
Today and tomorrow are gonna suck because of the heat wave :( It's 106 degrees today and it's supposed to be (I'm wishing it wouldn't be) 103 degrees tomorrow in Sacramento >.> Not only that, but Raging Waters is closed on those days! Grr... I don't wanna go to Raging Waters when it's gonna be 85 degrees at the highest... They would probably get a lot of visitors/customers if they have it opened on those days.
At work, I contacted a customer via phone inquiring about his online order. He gave me the okay to cancel his order and at the end of the phone call, he said, "I love you." I replied, "...ok bye." *click* Wtf was that all about? It left me in a "wtf" shocked state for 2 minutes after getting off the phone with him. I do receive a good amount of appreciation through phone calls, but not to that extent. Especially since the customer didn't get what he wanted from his order.
| I keep having Inception-type dreams recently. Or my dreams have become a little more realistic than they usually are.
When I stayed at Matt's place for OutsideLands, Daniel, Nick, and I slept in the living room, while Matt slept comfortably in his bed.
*Smoky cloud effect*
Matt came out to the living room a couple of minutes later to sleep with us (in a non-sexual/sensual way) because it's so awesome to have a slumber party where all of us are sleeping in the same room! I toss and turn in the middle of the night switching positions (slept on the floor) trying not to make too much noise since Matt's head was right above mine. In the morning, as we were all waking up and having friendly conversation, Matt asked me, "Where do you buy Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards?" Being the nerd that I am and having played both card games before, I replied, "At comic book stores and/or anime shops ^_^." Then he pulled out some binder sheets full of cards (that were supposedly mine) and was making fun of me, "Who would buy these cards? They're such a waste of money and they come out with more powerful cards later." And then I was like, :(.
*Smoky cloud effect*
I woke up and thought about how illogical it was for Matt to have slept in the living room between the couch and the coffee table since he has a nice bed and all...
Another dream I had was this morning after I gone back to bed from waking up at 7:30 am (I went to bed at 3:30 am). I had an interview today at 1:30 pm and set my alarm for 11:00 am.
*Smoky cloud effect*
I wake up after having such a good sleep, wondering what time it is. My conscience tells me, I must have overslept, it better not be noon... I look at the clock and it says 1:15 pm. Holy crap! I'm almost late for my interview! So I get up and ready for the interview.
*Smoky cloud effect*
I woke up and looked at the clock. It said 9:55 am. Damnit. I'm just going to get up and stay awake so I can stop having these weird dreams. Or better yet, I need to make myself a token.
| I had a very annoying past TWO days. A LOT of things bothered me, but I will not name them all.
Monday. “I don’t have work until 12. I think I’ll leave from my house now (11:15 am, 12 minute-ish bike ride) to go play some Rock Band at school before I go to work!”
The bike route I wanted to take.
Actual bike route I took to get to work.
Rage comic version.
I thought there might be a secret underground tunnel I could take to get to school that wasn't the Guy West Bridge by going through Campus Commons, but there wasn’t and I ended back on Howe Ave…
The Guy West Bridge was apparently closed, and who the hell would have known about it (other than frequent bikers on the American River Trail)? After all, it was “conveniently” posted on the Sac State website, here, the SacBee, and Sacramento Press (whatever that is).
This information was not easy to find from the main Sac State website, unless you already knew where to click, thanks Google. Most students don’t even check their school website or email (not that there was an email about it), especially during the summer time or a week before school starts. It’s not like anyone would check the website to find out if it was closed or not…
And on that note, they’ve been doing construction on the main campus parking lots (which was also posted on their website, making it way more difficult to park.
(Now it’s Tuesday.)
I even marked them on a map for you guys: craptastic parking areas
I drove to work today at 9 am (not ready for biking in the morning). I parked in Lot 4 next to the Hornet Bookstore. I was only going to work for 3 hours. I didn’t think anyone would need the spot since some people go out for lunch. After work, I got a $40 parking ticket, which makes sense...if it was on any regular friggin’ school day! I don’t feel safe leaving my car so far away from buildings. They closed the parking structures to “save energy” but even summer session students couldn’t park there. Why would they even pay UTAPS employees to come and check whether cars have “faculty” permits anyways during the summer? (I swear it’s all a scam. $40 ticket/car = profit.) There’s only one permit machine and it’s located even further than the emergency phone. You can’t even get into Lot 5 (located between the Union and Lot 6) without going through some gate. I should have tried to get my ticket appealed because of the inconvenient, annoying construction parking setup they had, but I didn’t and I paid for it already.
Other things that annoy(ed) me:
- Keith and I tried to watch Hot Tub Time Machine on the PS3 via wireless streaming from his computer, but it kept lagging.
- Pedestrians walking across a parking lot slowly and diagonally while the other cars and I are waiting for them to get to the other side so we can all move on.
- Trying to make a protected left turn, but miss the light because of slow drivers and having to wait for an extra 1-2 minutes of my life that I could be spending on the internet or other things.
- Sweaty and smelly fat guys at Wendy’s during lunch time. One of them called me “sweet thang”, I suppose that’s a compliment, but I was distracted by their stench. There’s no way that all 17 of them could have banded together and agree to not put on deodorant or at least some cheap cologne. (I don't hate fat people, just the ones who don't make the effort to take care of their body odor.)
- Hair-trigger sensitive car alarms, barking dogs during sleeping hours, crying babies in public/crowded places, i.e. buses, planes, theaters, etc.
- Not enough vespene gas. Not enough supply depots. Your SCVs are under attack. Your base is under attack.
